This ultrasound training course will cover vascular anatomy and hemodynamics and will enable the participant to understand the use of color and duplex ultrasound in diagnosing arterial or venous pathology. Doppler physics and instrumentation will also be covered in depth to teach you how to correctly interpret the information that you acquire during your scan. You will gain an actual working knowledge of how to optimize the Doppler instrumentation to improve your diagnostic and scanning ability. Our faculty will instruct you in the use of ultrasound in carotid, peripheral venous upper and lower extremities, peripheral arterial upper and lower extremities, Ankle Brachial Index and abdominal vasculature. You will be able to differentiate between normal and abnormal studies and you will learn valuable scanning tips and tricks to maximize the diagnostic value of your scan. As with all of our educational modules, live scanning sessions will be a part of the course, either in our education-based environment with live models or at your own facility.
