Position:  Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Certifications:  ARDMS (ABD and/or OB/GYN).  RVT credentials will make you a more competitive candidate.  Current BLS certification mandatory.

Education:  Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.  Willing to take a new grad from an outstanding program.

Job Overview:  

o        Work as a member of a dynamic, supportive team and proficiently perform accurate sonographic evaluations at several locations in the Monterey/Salinas area.

o        Light travel to the Bay Area possible

o        Following accounts available: outpatient imaging, acute care hospital, invasive procedures and breast care center.  Willing to cross train.

o        Outstanding patient care and the ability to provide high quality, accurate diagnostic examinations are essential.

o        Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology to demonstrate appropriate anatomical structures while following ultrasound guidelines for positioning and technique.

o        May need to deviate from standard views to determine clinical findings, answer the clinical question, and determine any other unsolicited findings.

o        Need to adapt to a dynamic work environment and be enthusiastic about the field of ultrasound.

Qualifications:

o        Experience in General, OB, Vascular, and Invasive procedures.

o        Performance and behavior should reflect and support the mission of this company.

o        Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact with patients, physicians, visitors and other staff members.

o        Must be able to work independently
