Introduction to Vascular Ultrasound

This training course is designed for the professional looking to expand their knowledge of basic vascular ultrasound.  It is well suited for sonographers who want to further develop their skill set, physicians who want to expand their scope of knowledge or other health care professionals looking to improve their base of knowledge.   At course completion, you will have a working understanding of the most essential vascular ultrasound exams.  Our faculty will instruct you in the use of proper technique to obtain diagnostic images.  Exams covered during this course include carotid artery, lower extremity venous and lower extremity arterial imaging including ABI.  This introductory course will expose you to normal anatomy and physiology as well as common pathology.  You will learn valuable scanning tips and tricks to maximize the diagnostic value of your scan.  As with all our educational modules, live scanning sessions will be part of your experience, either in our education-based environment with live models or at your own facility.  You will find this hands-on scanning experience invaluable to your ultrasound training.

Objectives:
